Question for current and former CAT emplyees

3500 owners, do you rotate your tires?

This is interesting. The former mayor of NYC,

Ed Koch, would like to see the Twin Towers rebuilt to their previous glory. I myself believe it is a good idea. It will in effect show the world that the United States has only been knocked off balance, but not knocked down. What do you think?

bigger and better.....

I think that they should rebuild them even higher then they were before. This will really show that it did not stop us in any way.

Rebuild of course!

I can't imagine allowing those criminals to alter the skyline of New York permanently so that every time anyone sees it or a picture of it they will be reminded that those animals did that to us!! If would be like blowing away the Golden Gate Bridge or Mount Rushmore. Can't allow that!!

Rebuild It!!!!

I say rebuild it!

I wish I could post the pic I received of just how to do it too... the center or highest building of the five is flanked by two slightly shorter buildings, which in turn are flanked by two even slightly shorter and thinner buildings. Like... here's the bird you terrorist *******s!

Well I am in Kansas at the moment. I'll be home tommorrow, and I know what picture your talking about. FLoor It has a printed out version of it, we were just discussing it a few minutes ago. When I get home I will at least put a link to it, I don't know if I want to "post" it tho, due to what it implies, but I'll make sure theres a link for it.

I gotta get some sleep now.

I've got "that" picture on my desk:D from an e-mail. I'm a dweeb though and can't post it on here. I can't even do the avatar despite help:(

BTW, notwithstanding the five-finger salute... ..... We should absolutley re-build the towers - bigger and better. And, we should dedicate it to every soul lost in this tragedy with their names in bronze in the entry way.

In my ever so humble opinion, the best way to honor those lost in the WTC would be to rebuild it with a memorial in the lobby or corner stone. Did anyone else notice the corner stone still standing with "One World Trade Center" clearly visible. This to me says the WTC still stands. It just needs some major repair.

Same with the Pentagon. Those *******s may have done some serious damage to the buildings. They even took alot of lives and altered many more. But they haven't destroyed America and what we stand for. We haven't lost any freedom either. We just need to guard it a little more carefully.

Wall?

I would think that a Viet Nam memorial type of wall in the plaza after the towers are rebuilt would be the way to do it. Afterall the people who died there are the first casualties of this war.

At first I thought it would be foolish to rebuild the towers. It seems that with modern electronic communications that the need for centralized business was not needed any more, and I also thought that many business and employees would not want to work there. After hearing the comments from people from NY, I'm undecided now. Oh well, I doubt they will ask me anyway.

I still feel the same, but Joe G. 's comment hit me like a ton of bricks... ... ... . "the people who died there are the first casualties of this war. "

Man, the truth hurts:( Joe

Is this the one you're talking about?

Papa Joe,

The reason I think a wall with their names is the right way to do it is because they died in a war and a wall like the one for the Viet Nam dead would remind us of that every time we saw it.

I was not going to say anything, but I think a lot of us are missing one simple point. If we change anything, color or building configuration we end up with a monument to this terrorist! These guys live in tents and shacks for pete's sake. Hide in caves. So we should build a monument to these insects? I don't think so. Go swat them HARD!! and put the building back just like it was. I would hate to see some other crazy look at the New York sky line and brag about the changes that this crazy caused in America. I want them to see us just like we were, buildings the same and us arguing about politics and baseball and football and ... Just normal American activity ignoring them and their deeds. Erase them and any sign of them ever living.

I also think we should rebuild. I would prefer to construct the tallest building in the world on the site. We lost it to Malaysia several years ago; I think it would be a fitting response to create yet again the worlds tallest in the home of the skyscraper. Proving that America not only will reconstruct its face because of this incident but will make it better is the best thing to do.

Donald Trump announced last year he would finance and construct the tallest building to replace the Petrones Towers in Chicago. I remember he picked Chicago because Manhattan had no room. It has plenty now.
