Grid heater disconnect

Just noticed a light whine coming from under the hood a few days ago. First time in
14 years. Transmission seems O.K. and still towing every season. Looking on You Tube
and TDR suggests P/S stuff. You Tube shows a high-pressure hose replacement but it
doesn't look like mine. Mine doesn't have a banjo bolt. Anticipating if a new hose or pump is needed, I could not find either because they are discontinued. The high-pressure hose goes from the hydro boost to the rack and pinion. The high-pressure hose P/N is 52122341AH and the pump kit is R8034326AB. Would like to find
parts available before taking the truck to a repair shop. Any sources?

The hose that fails is the pump to Hydroboost. It usually makes a whistling, whining noise. Disconnect the hose at Hydroboost and see if the liner is sticking out of the end of the hose.

Every part is available, nothing discontinued from what I know.
Some part numbers are superceded.

Just changed the whole PS system a couple months ago on my old Gen3.

Yes. Even Geno's has it. The parts I was chasing went to the rack and pinion. Those are discontinued
using the P/N I had listed.
Thanks to both of you for responding.

Sag2. Just disconnected that hose just like the Motor City Mechanic video and no liner tube sticking out. The whirring, whining sound
is coming from around behind the radiator when standing in front. Could it be the rack and steering pump or the fan clutch? The
pulleys where the serpentine belt go around are not loose. What other possibilities could there be? I will probably see
an auto shop to look into this after this holiday weekend. I would like to get it fixed before our starting season get away
Sept 25.

A follow up from the whirring/whining noise. I took the truck to a repair shop to diagnose, and the tech heard a little
of the noise. The appointment was 5 days away and during the next few days, the sound diminished and went away.
During that time, I changed out the belt tensioner and pulley, check rotated the idler pulley, water pump, power steering pump,
alternator, fan pulley but not the air conditioner pump. When I brought the truck back for the appointment, I changed my mind
and asked for a P/S fluid change instead. They used a vacuum machine and charged me $55.00 with my Amsoil ATF+4.
That seemed like a bargain. So far, the noise never came back since the first diagnosis. I Dunno. I'll keep listening as always
because I would rather listen to the engine than the radio.
