How do you create a Poll thread?

E-mail notifications for "LinkBack" thread...?

In the 12v Discussion Forum I started a thread discussing my disapproval of certian business practices offered by Power By Poole.

This thread was an open discussion to enlighten current members of a certain downfall if one chooses to do business with Power By Poole.

This thread also gave PBP the opportunity to discuss his side and possibly stur up a resolution that could not otherwise be reached (still hasn't).

I'm siteing a certain Moderator here on these forums that appears to have a friendship with PBP and is using his ability to lock and delete information from my thread.

Not appreciated.

A PM was also sent by the stated Moderator that stated his position, and asked for further contact to be via PM to him. Immediatly when the Moderator was online a responce was sent to him, no reply, I've called him to the floor to further explain this action.

An extensive rebuttal had been typed up and deleted moments before a locked thread notice was posted.

If I'm in error here, please correct me.

The discussion was not out of hand, no requests by the thread's orginator was given to lock the thread, so what gives?

In the case of disputes between consumers and businesses (regardless of whether they are an advertiser with the TDR or not) our policy has always been (and will continue to be) to allow both parties to give their side of the story and then lock the thread and ask them to take their argument to private discussions (via email, pm's, phone, etc). The forums are not the place to air dirty laundry nor to negotiate a settlement on a dispute. Your complaint is out there for everyone to read. The vendor has given his side of the story. That is where it ends as far as the public side of the site is concerned. It has nothing to do with any friendship between any moderator and a vendor (I don't know if that friendship even exists in this case) - we enforce these same guidelines in the case of any dispute.

Dude, chill out. The thread was handled properly and pointless waste of internet traffic was saved by closing out the thread.

Move on, if you can't deal with it, deal with it via PM or some other means.

I was about to send "Parks" a note of appreciation for his handling of the situation - when they go any further than that one did, it turns into a free-for-all feeding frenzy, with the customer tangling openly with the merchant, and participating members turning on each other.

I understand and sympathize with your situation - but you got all the useful mileage you were likely to from the original thread - and I think the moderator did the right thing - and I want to THANK him openly here for it! ;)
