Just out of curiosity, I would like to put a set of BFG AT 315x70-17 on my 2007 MegaCab. Could someone recommend to me the right amount of front spacer and shock combo, and possible what wheel offset I would need? I plan on running AR 17x9 wheels, and then change over to Airbags in the rear. Any suggestion would be awesome…. . I don't wont to be to tall since I still would like to be able to tow my 5'er

Snowaholic,

I run 315/70/17 BFG ATs on my'03 2500. I have run them with stock wheels and has a little (acceptable) rubbing on the lower front suspension arm, and currnetly running 315s on Hummer wheels with less offset and no rubbing. No lift required.

If you are serious about a good ride get the KORE setup. I had mine and I can put all the way to 35' which I am running on stock rims, it raises the truck only a bit but the ride is one in a million! And the faster you go the better it handles.

Check out my website and you can see, mine go 100 and looking like a nascar rather than a 9000 lbs truck.

MickeyMiller,

Cool, I'll just go with the 3" leveling and Air bags then. Thanks

I would pony up for the Kore if it was going to be offroad a lot, but it's not and Kore parts just seem to wear faster. I've had a few friends with them on different trucks and they always seem to be replacing something.

Where do yall get your "leveling kits"? What does it consist of? I wnat the thing to include "bump stops" to prevent the tires from trashing the fenders at full suspension collapse in tight turns. Where do I get a "leveling kit" and what comes in it? Are there any with the lower bump stops to limit upward travel of the suspension to protect the fenders? The front end is all I am concerned with. This is on my '03 3500 4x4 DRW.

The tires won't touch the fenders but there are a lot of american 9. 25 front ends thar are bent Oo.

Snowaholic,

I'd be a little cautious about running those tires with that truck. According to the BFG website, they are D rated. I'd recommend an E rated tire with that truck, especially if you are towing. Also, it sounds like there is a good chance you will have some rubbing with that tire/wheel combo and a 3 inch leveling kit. The Hummer wheels have a similar back spacing to the factory wheels, but the AR wheels don't. If you have specific questions, give us a call. We deal with wheel/tire questions all the time. We are the authorized KORE distributor for the Pacific NW, and we're located in Bend. We've been running the KORE system on our own truck for several years and would be happy to answer any questions about the suspension as well.

best regards,

I just procurred another front end for a club member this week... ... ... it will be trussed before it goes on.
