Instead of Raising the front end, has anyone lowered the backend? I was looking at my springs and their is two small pieces of flat bar between the springs and the rearend. If I pull them it will drop the bed about an inch and a half. This shouldn't affect the drivetrain angles since it would be in this position with a very small load on. Any thoughts or has anyone done it? copterdoc

Yes, several people here have done what you have mentioned. A few regulars here have really good photos on their profiles of what they've done. I think the general method is to flip those small blocks on top of the spring pack so you can use your stock U bolts.

There are two bolts that run thru the springs If you take those two off the bottom and then place them on top you can use the U bolt to resecure everything. Should work just fine that way. You will need some vise grips to hold the bolt (it's round under there) ann some c lamps help to keep the holes lined up. I had to take all that apart to install my Kore mini paks.

Any issues with the stock shocks bottoming out if you do that?

No, because the bottom of your travel would be the same point, when the rubber bumper (jounce bumper) bottoms out on the springs.

I am glad this was brought up again. I found that 1. 25" less in the back was just perfect being still higher in the rear allows for some load and has more of a "normal" look.

The common 2" lift in the front to level out seems too high, has anyone heard of a 1. 25" or 1. 5" front lift?

Matt, I've been wondering about the same. I don't have my truck yet. I plan to put a Snug Top Shell on it, and according to the measurements I've read, it should come in at just over 80 inches at the back of the shell. My garage door opening is 81" tall. The cab is said to be just under about 78 inches. If I could raise the front an inch, the back of the shell would actually go down a tad. That tad could be a big help. Ideally, I'd love to have a Kore Chase system with a one inch increase in height up front with no lift in the rear.

This thread intriqued me since my rv rides about an inch high, but I tolerate it in order to get the added clearance between the bedrails and the rv. However, I am really paranoid of doing anything that might affect my warranty or cause premature wear on anything, so I called my dealer. He said that they could do the modification for about $120 and that it would not affect my warranty at all. However, he added that it could cause premature wear on the pinion gears and could also cause the rig to shudder slightly when starting out from a dead stop. Has anyone who has done this mod had enough time and miles to detect any premature wear or has anyone noted a startup shudder? Thanks.
