I recently discovered a company called Kore Performance. Their specialtity is suspensions for Dodge Ram 2500's. I am looking for input and comments from anyone in the Registry who has installed the "Chase" or "Recon" suspension upgrade on their truck.

MPetrone,

I have not yet bought the KORE system yet, for I'm saving $$$$ for the purchase but I have done some extensive research and telephoned Greg Ken with questions and know for my application that KORE is the solution.

Pull down the discussion forums menu to search forums and do a search on kore - you'll get 211 threads that'll give you plenty of reading!

I have the PACE (now Recon) Pkg and wouldn't go back to stock suspension on a bet. The ride improved enought for even the wife to notice. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

I researched a lot before choosing a suspension. I can sum it up like many that have a KORE suspension:

KORE products are expensive, but worth every penny. I would not go back, or choose a lesser system to save some money.

I just ordered the Pace system from Desert Racing Concepts. Greg Boardman is the principle there and knows all there is to know about KORE products. Kent Kroeker is the principle of KORE (Kroeker Off Road Engineering)

If you look up posts by either one of these gentlemen, you can find out more about their products and philosophies. (be careful with their philosophies!;)

I have the old T/Rex chase system(now KORE)and their steering stabilizer. It's perfect for what I do with my truck(running miles of washboard roads). It's probably what you plan to do with your truck whether the cost is justified. For me,it's well worth it.

Has anybody purchased the steel control arms that KORE has just released and how do you like them?

I installed the KORE Chase system about a month ago. I'm thrilled with the improved ride! It's noticable on most any surface but shines on washboard roads.

In installed the DRC Race system from Greg Boardman at Desert Racing Concepts (www.desertracingconcepts.net). It is built from Kore components -- AWESOME!!!!

I've actually put mine to the test a few times. I've had around three feet of air under all four tires at once --- niceeee smooooooth landing! Oh, and the everyday ride is MUCH improved and much more stable. The truck stays planted.

A+++, I would never consider another brand. ever.

I'm also very happy with my Chase system. I would not go back to stock or any other system. Greg is a great guy to deal with.

The suspension soaks up all the pot holes and patches (Michigan roads) without any loss of control. The rear end does not bounce around or hop like my old 2nd gen. I also tow a fifth wheel and it works great with it.

Go for it.

A friend of mine has a Chase system on his truck and likes it a lot. I have driven the truck myself a fair amount in the last couple of weeks and it is much improved over stock. If you don't plan on hauling much weight or towing heavy you could go with the 5150 shocks w/piggyback reservoir on the rear (as my friend did) and save some money. Ask KORE or Greg at DRC about this setup. I think it is a great setup and isn't too far off the Race system.

Hello Gentlemen,

I am very pleased everyone is happy with their systems. It has been our pleasure to serve you, you all have been great!

The 5150 is used as a shock in the rear because of the availability of longer travel. It is a 12" travel shock compared to the 10 inch Fox. In high speed applications it performs great over washboard. It has speed sensitive valving that can really keep the axle on the ground over the rough stuff. It is nothing like a Chase System and is a bad choice for heavy towing. Plus with the discount on Chase systems, you cannot beat the deal by using a different shock. Please feel free to call me for any and all questions.

Add Edit:

I have been called and emailed about the above post. In no way did anyone make a wrong move installing a 5150 shock. It has been on my truck for over a year, performing flawlessly. I tow heavy even though it is not recommended. I also, as you probably know, jump my truck at will. This shock has a Magic Piston inside. That is how the Bilstein reps explained it to me. Magic!!!

Thanks, Greg
