Suspension upgrade

I covered this in an earlier post but, wanted cover the issue by itself. I have heard alot of complaints about 4X2 D250/350 front suspension being too soft and/or the front end sag. Well I discussed the issue with another TDR 1st gen member and he went with the next higher MOOG springs to correct the problem. I took a different route. I bought and installed some rubber spring spacers which install around one whole turn of the coil spring. They're cheap, less than $15 bucks for both springs. I've seen them for sale at JC Whitney, Advance Auto and a few others. The front end stands up the way it should, the ride is great. The front end does not bottom out anymore. The ride is a bit stiffer but, not objectionable. I installed mine when I rebuilt the front end but I do believe that they could be installed with just the wheel removed. This is absolutely the best "bang for the Buck" upgrade that I have done so far.

The input I'll have on this is I had a 1990 d350 gas that repeatly sagged on left front,would add the Dodge tsb fix and after a while it sagged some more. Dodge fixed it for me threw 40,000miles as it never stayed corrected. Of couse if spacers don't keep it UP new aftermarket springs might. They added the spacer,then new springs,then a spacer etc. It always sagged again. Hope DC reads these columns.
