Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anybody has swapped a Cummins engine (such as the 4BT Cummins) into a Suzuki Samurai or knows of anyone that has. Thanks in advance for any thoughts, opinions, or answers.
Thanks MLee,
the reason I'm asking about Cummins engine swaps is the simplicity of these engines especially the older 12 valves and the amount of power and performance that can be squeezed out of these engines. I read http://www.trucktrend.com/cool-trucks/1504-cummins-powered-1986-suzuki-samurai-wild-style/ where David Taylor swapped in a 4BT Cummins into a 1986 Suzuki Samurai.
Thanks everyone for all of your information and insight. I was planning on stretching the frame/chassis another 6 or so inches and putting a 6BT Cummins in the vehicle so I would have some REAL Torque at the wheels. I don't know why I said Suzuki Samurai Engine swaps because the vehicle is going to be basically a street legal tube buggy with a Suzuki Samurai/Sidekick body grafted on.
