Why would you want to screw up a perfectly good truck with an manual tanny??

tomeygun, I have thought long and hard about putting a manual transmission in my truck, and done quite a bit of research into it. Enterprise Engine is not too far from you, and they do it all the time. The cost was enough to keep me from doing it yet, it still creeps into my mind once in while though. Call EE and talk to them. Be sitting down though, and they are very competitive from what I was able to find out. If you happened to find a manual transmission for a song it would help a ton. Hope this helps.

let the valvebody do the shifting. it shifts faster , smoother and it`s automated.

there are lots of mods available. also resale is better and to a bigger market. also anybody can drive it. dont know if that is good or bad!!! have fun/drive safe.

The truck will be faster and more fun with the right kind of built automatic... but of course it does depend on what you want to do with the truck. Work or play? Lots and lots of hauling/towing? A manual MIGHT last longer for heavy towing, given the proper care.

Drag racing? Street drags? Sled pulling?

With so many new options out there for autos now, it shouldn't be considered the "wrong" transmission anymore. Of course, that's just my opinion. I honestly think you could upgrade your auto and be a lot happier with the results and price, than if you switched the truck over to a manual.

Enterprise Engine is all they're said to be, and more, that'd be the right place to go for such a conversion, especially given your location.
