Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) swap out 5 speed for 6

Has anybody swapped out there 5speed for a 6 speed or know what all is involved?

I just completed that swap over on the same year truck. It is a straight forward swap. You will need a crossmember from a 99 or newer truck as it is wider to accommodate the longer trans. You will need to get a redrilled flywheel to use the the larger clutch, or get the smaller clutch assembly with the correct spline size. I belive SBC offers either of these options. You will also need to get your driveshafts modified, a longer rod for the transfer case shifter, a bracket to mount the 4wd lever assy. plus make up a pig tail for your back up lights and speedo. You might give quad 4x4 a call and ask them if they still have any of these items for sale.
