has anyone done this?? I am thinking I am going to get everything all the way from the master cylinder and brake lines, to the E brake cables & such... has anyone done this swap?? Also, I am getting a Dana 70... I have an 80 in mine right now, but I couldnt pass up $175 for a full rear end with discs, especially since my ring & pinion is shot... I need the disc brakes to pull my 9,000lb boat.

swapping out rear axle from a 2001 into my 98..

Chris,

Just did this in November. Check my threads. BTW, the 02 I purchased didn't have the anti-spin locker in it. I just took the one out of my 99:D Very happy with the turn out.

One thing is the newer axle is a least an inch longer, which would be more noticeable if it's going on a 2wd truck because the rear tires will sit out a little farther than the fronts.
