I haven't started my project yet, but it occured to me that I don't know how the wheel studs are attached to the rotors! Are they pressed in? Is this the same for the font and rear?
If so, can you reuse them or do I need new ones to go with my new rotors?
Thanks for the replies. I'm changing because the dealer wants and arm and a leg to do a brake job... . and I found some nice cross-drilled units for far less than the price of the dealer job. I thought I'd take the opportunity to improve the performance (oh, ok... . and looks) of what I have all while saving a little money and having a fun learning experience.
So it sounds like I do need new studs then?? Any idea what these'll run me? And should i just get them from the dealership?
Wow..... thanks for the clarification... . as I re-read the posts it really sounds like I mis-interpreted what you all were saying. I'm glad to hear I won't need new studs!
I'll post a picture or two of the rotors when I get them on..... although its looking like I won't have time until the Thanksgiving holiday!
