Swapping the 5 for a 6 speed?

hey gang,



Good friend of mine is wanting to swap out his 4500 for the 5600. I am not familiar since I have an Auto so I wanted to find out from some of you where are some of the places you all have purchased the 5600? Prices? Other things that will be needed? etc...

I just did the conversion on my '98 truck and purchased the change over from a salvage 2002 truck. I used an Enterprise (Dave Mitchell) pulling clutch to replace the weak factory setup. I've found that Blumental HD Inc. in Oklahoma is best for most all my transmission parts and assemblies. The driveshafts were modified locally. HTH's

Wouldnt do it unless it was going in a Hot-Shot-Rig, otherwise I say it is useless, but whatever floats your boat. Trucks-Are -Us in Ft Worth has the best deals in Texas I have found, might wanna give them a call.
