Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Swapping turbos

Will a stock turbo from a 2000 5. 9 24v with automatic transmission work correctly on a stock 1996 5. 9 12v with a standard transmission?

If it is a HX35/12, it is the same turbo. If it is the other turbo that was used on the 24v, I wouldn't use it. Turbine housing is quite a bit more restrictive than the 12.

It will fit but its not a good thing to do,unless your in a bind. The 2000 24v auto uses a HY35/10cm and it will create heat in a 12v easily... ... Andy
