Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Swapping Wheels?

Has anyone put 2001-2002 2500 Alloys on a 1999 2500? I'm looking for a set of Alloys & a fella has a set off a 2001 that I'm hoping will fit my 1999 2500... . Will they work? The reason I ask is I have 4 wheel drum brakes & in 2000 & newer I believe they went to 4 wheel disc.

They will not work. Several people have tried. I think something has to be ground down. Can't remember what but to make a long story short it was more trouble thatn it was worth.

The wheels will clear your front disk brakes, but will not clear your rear drums. I have been told that you can grind enough off of the drum (not that much I hear) to make them fit, but I choose to just sell mine after the lieing #@$%! #@$%! #@$%! SOB sold me mine.
