I finally have all the parts to run the engine I bought in January. I'd never heard it run.
It took a lot of cranking to get it primed, and I was starting to get concerned.
I have a tank of fuel within 3ft of the pump, and I had fuel all the way to the banjo bolt on the driver's side of the pump. At first very little fuel from the return. After more cranking there was constant pressure on the return (clear tubing to check for bubbles) it pushed fuel 2ft above the top of the engine. But At this point there was no fuel at #6 injector. I cranked with it completely unhooked, and didn't even get a mist or sputter.
But about another 30 seconds total of cranking and it firedOo.
75psi of oil pressure at idle. Is that high?
Thanks
Can't wait to put it in the truck.
