While reading the TDR mag #53 I read that the "sweet spot" for 24 valver's is at a certain rpm. Does anyone know if/where the sweet spot is for the 12's? As usual thanks for all the wealth of information out there.

Interesting. When I had my 3. 54s (like you guys) no matter what I did the truck just seemed to end up around the 1700 mark and 57 mph. I swaped in a set of 4. 10s and it just sounds and feels better closer to the 1900 to 2K mark (62 mph). Thanks for the input.

I guess the 19-2000 I was refering to was while towing. I guess thats just what I assumed...

but empty it is a bit lower. With the 12cm it was around 1700, with the 16cm its a few rpm higher. and with the 16cm, 2000rpm empty seems much more effortless.

By 12 cm and 16 cm I guess you're refering to the turbo. So far I have a stock unit. I have a new ATS exhaust manifold and 370 injectors coming. I'm told the next thing to do is to up grade the turbo and 4" exhaust. This is getting as bad as my early Bronco. Rebuilt piece by piece!!!!

Thanks

1800rpm to 2000rpm Lots of power and good MPG

Im at 65mph@1600rpm and 80mph@1800rpm in Double overdrive And getting 21. 2 mpg Oo. :D
