Here is something that my son and I built for friend of ours. .

The truck is a 99 4x4 5 speed. . Here is list of items that we did to it

1. F1 Helix II cam

2. F1 Mach 5 injectors

3. Port,polished and 'O' ring'd head

4 HRVP44 injector pump

5. Twin turbos

6. TS performance NOS kit

7. Edge Juice w/ attitude

8. FASS w/ 1/2" steel braided lines and fittings

9. Amsoil remote system with -10 steel lines and fittings

10. New radiator

11. twin 6" miter cut stacks

12. SBC Dual disk clutch

13. Custom built ladder bars

14. ARP head studs

I know that there are things that I forgot. . but anyway this is what we built. .

Rick and Rickey Jr.

The truck is still in the finishing up stage. Once I go thru a couple of re-torques on the head... then we will find a dyno shop somewhere to see how well it does. .

From the parts that we put it... it should run real strong... Any guesses of what it will do. . both on motor on juice? The NOS kit is a 2 stage kit of 60 hp on stage 1 at full throttle and a manual 40hp shot. Stage 1 is pre-intercooler and stage 2 is post intercooler. .

NHelmer. . send the truck our way... our shop is already looking for our next project. . Oh yea... send along some long green. .

Also here is a picture of the ladder bars that we built for him. 2. 25 DOM tubing w/. 25 wall,1" heim joints and 3/8 steel. Should hold dont you think?

Thanks

Rick

That looks REAL sweet! What turbos did you use in the setup? And could we get some more pictures? Those have got my interest peaked...

The top turbo is his PDR HX35/gated 14 and the bottom is a BHT3B/26 that we picked up from Goldfarb and Associates. If we were just starting this project... I might have tried to talk him into a phat shaft 62 on top and a K31 on the bottom. From what I have been told this combination is the ticket.

Boy, your friend must have way toooooo much $$$$$$$ burning a whole in his pocket. That truck is way too pretty to drive. Must be a garage queen!!!!!!

Well this is the trucks first car show at my local A&W. Truck runs strong even keeping it on level 1 and below 30lbs of boost. I need to get some heat cycles done for the head re-torques. It was fun to see the looks we got coming thru the parking lot. First gear and that HRVP44 loping. . Sounding like one of those sled pull trucks... well maybe a little... but you could hear it. People could not figure out how I could get that diesel to lope. . Truck owner hasnt even driven his new found power truck yet. ;););)

Oh. . I forgot... the 6" miter cut stacks go on this week. .

Rick

VERY NICE!

I would love to see some close-up shots of the ladder bars in the way they terminate at the frame and axle connection points.

RHARVEY,

Yes, about those ladder bars...
I have an '02 QC, SWB, factory overload springs & swaybar, with AirDog (mounted forward of the left rear wheel). I would like some ladder bars to smooth out the launch. I don't race or pull, just a lot of stop 'n go commuter traffic and some heavy towing. Is this something you can do? If so, shoot me a PM and I'll call you.

Thanks,
Neil

Got the stacks install the past weekend. . Sure sounds good... Now if I can get the rest of the parts to come in... I can get them installed and send this truck back to its owner. .

Rick

And does it have a 53 block. If it does he may be spending a few more dollars in the future . Nice job looks very professional.

Yes it does have a 53 block... I had a long talk about it and decided that with his driving style... it should last a very long time. If it doesnt. . then it will be back at my house for a block change. .

Thanks

Rick
