Has anyone had this problem? On my 96 cummins sometimes the ac blower motor can be ran and also electric windows will go up/down without key on. Sometimes ill shut truck off everything shuts down like normal but ill go to truck later and ac blower is running. Any suggestions?

Ignition switch failure. I just replaced one on a '96 late last month, same symptoms. Sometimes, the key'd be turned off, and the truck would run another 15-30 seconds before it shut off the solenoid and cut the fuel. Blower motor would work intermittently, and sometimes come on sitting there. Also found this week that the blower motor was drawing crazy amount of amps, so I replaced it for the guy, too. That may have overheated his ignition switch, I'm not sure.

What? You need to look for wires burned into or melted under the dash, maybe behind the fuse panel... . That's weird.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but Ill ask it anyway. I had to replace the ig switch on my car several months ago. Its a chrysler, so Im pretty sure the truck would have the same setup. Did you replace the actual switch inside the column ? Or did you replace the cylinder that you actually put the key into ?

There is a connector under the driver's seat that connects to the Central Timer Module. I cleaned the connector and the radio and accessories turn off again. The seat belt warning light was staying on sometimes also. If cleaning the connector doesn't help, the timer may be bad.
