Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) switzer sb300 55lbs boost?

got a new turbo any one else have trouble with high boost on a sb300 the old one had excessive end play and an oil leak into the intake? will this thing live at this boost and where is max efficiency? Vaughn, Joe someone?

that turbo wont live too long if you see that high of a boost number alot, i would back your wastegate down, say no more than 45, it will be in is range a little bit better also.

There are so many varities of S300s it is hard to say how good/bad 55lbs of boost is for the one you have.



If this one is smaller, similar to the BD Super B, it will probably not live a long life at 55lbs of boost, nor would it be good for your truck or HP.

My super B took a crap on me after 9 months and around 44-48 psi so... ... I'd say you are on borrowed time with that one my friend.

the first sb300s was on there for almost a year and seen 50psi every time I drive it and still does.
