Big Daddy... ... there really isn't any risk to 18-11-99. The risk is the "tech" who does the reflash! 18-11-99 made the difference to me between keeping the truck and dumping it. Early on, some clowns at dealerships were flashing some fouled up program in there that dealt with emissions... ... ... and we were all panicking because it screwed our trucks up, thinking 18-11-99 was the culprit.

I'd do it again, and if I were you and decided to do it, I'd have a heart to heart with the service guy BEFORE he did it, and make sure he is on the same page.

Alright, I've got a 2000 2500 24v and I keep having this problem where i shut it off and will come back 5 minutes later and it won't start. A friend said it could be the lift pump. I read through the comments but nobody mentions how it wouldn't start. I'm curious on if my truck not starting could be because of the lift pump.

Hard to tell Brooke. Give some more info. Does the top of the fuel filter have any test ports? If it does, remove the plug in the port, screw in a gauge and report back with the pressure.
