Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Synthetic Fluids?

I have over 100k miles on my 01. Is it too late to start running synthetics? Someone told me that they flow better but might not be a good idea for an engine with some miles on it. Is there any truth to this?

it is never to late to put synthetics in the only thing that might be an issue is if you have an oil leak organic oils are thicker and don't seep as much but that also tells you that you will see improvement in mileage hp and wear and tear. amsoil is what I'm runnig in my truck, wifes car, and my motorcycle and I love it oil change intervalls are 15000 mile rather than 3000. check out the link below (lubedealer.com) it will send you to my supplier he will give you a better deal than you will ever find from any supplier unless you are a dealer and when you when see how much you like it you can even ask to be a prefered customer, if you buy a lot,.

I run Redline 15-40 in the motor, and their gear oils in everything else. Better mileage, extended drain intervals, etc. If you can get over the initial cost ($40/Gallon) it's worth it. And no leaks so far
