I use Amsoil 15w40 full syn. and run it one year or 12k which ever comes first. Filter and top off at 6 months. Usually its one year before 12k. I use the better fleetguard filter. Did this on my previous Dodge diesel for 7 or 8 years. Doing it again on this one.

I use Amsoil 5w30HDD, with the by pass filter set up.

Truck tows a 24' gooseneck all the time.

change oil every 50,000 kms ( 30,000miles) test have always indicated oil could stay in service. Truck has 400,000kms ( 250,000 miles) works perfect.

My car uses Amsoil 0w30, after 560,000kms ( 350,000miles) compression is still in spec, and car gets oil change only once a year, for the last 17 years as car is an '88.
