Unbelievable duramax #S, really I don't believe them!

Maintenance on gravel truck

I have used LE607 in my NV4500 for the past 10K. My temps ran about max 230 when pulling hard in 5th. I recently changed to Syntorq and am amazed at the temp drop. The NV4500 now runs 50F cooler than before, never going over about 170.

Question;

Is the Syntorq a good oil to run in my USGear OD unit? The OD is still limiting my pulling speed because of running to temps of over 230 when using high torque and weight. If the Syntorq can do for the OD what it did for the NV I'll be a very happy camper.

Larry,

I use the syntorq in my GV overdrive unit. It is now approved and highly recommended by GV. It seems to keep the temps in check. I would use it if I were you. These OD units are low on oil capacity in my opinion and can use all the help they can get.
