The hassle Just is not worth it, Buy a Lockup Module,You can Smoke the TCM easily.

Why would you want to start splicing wires ect? Twest is correct and they are plug n' play. Which one do you reccommend?

It supposed to be abe to be done without jumping the relay, which is causing the codes. On the ground side of the switch wire inline a 33 ohm 2% resistor and put the relay back like stock. This is supposedtoworkon 04. 5 - 05 but I have not had time to test it.

i havent tried it with the relay in place. it doesent lockup with the switch, it shifts just like stock? i just wanted it for dyno runs.

put the relay back in and dont have any codes now.

but now i have a mystery switch,,, its a mystery as to what it does,,, nothing.

Pulling the relay and starting without it would have put the trans into limp mode. Not sure if just putting relay back in would reinitialize it or there are other steps to take. Manual calls for clearing the DTC before testing.

You probably need to pull the codes that exist in the ECU now and see if it generating any. Not all will turn on the MIL light. DO NOT engage the switch directly to ground without the resistor as you may burn a circuit out of the ECU.

i have the tri-dog so i can see all codes,,, the 04's need to tap the pcm connector wire, i'll figure it out tommorrow.

On mine I wired two 20 ohm in series withe the ground, ground wire to a 20 ohm resistor wired to another 20 ohm resistor then to chassis ground. With it wired like that you can install the relay and get no codes. I have had mine like this for about 7 months with no problems and its used daily.
