My T-case has started to leak I think from the front output or front driveshaft. From looking at the manual, the leak looks like its coming from between the yoke and retainer. Local shop wasnt interested in just the simple fix or so I hope it is, they wanted to take T-case out and replace all seals, gaskets and bearings, for near $400. I said no thanks, its not a 14yr old case, it was replaced new only 4 or 5 yrs ago. Well I'm hoping this is not a major fix. Can someone help me here? Thanks Bill

Between the yoke and the splines there is usually a cheesy rubber seal that is supposed to prevent the oil from going between the splines and yoke but sometimes it doesn't work. Just take the yoke off and clean it up good and put silicone around the splines and put the yoke back on and that should fix it. If its the seal thats no problem either just pop the old one out and put a new one in. I usually use a slid hammer to pull them I don't like putting a screwdriver or chiesel between the seal hole because you can damage the hole that it goes in(I saw a guy crack a dana 60 front that way, actually cracked the cast iron:eek: ). Either way its a managable fix. Hope that helps.
