Kick-off party update

Thought I would start this so you could post when you plan on leaving and where your leaving from and rough idea of the route you will be taking.

This may help some people meet up and join others in the trip. Maybe have a little fun(contest) to see who can roll into muncie with the biggest convoy!

here is an example;

I plan on leaving 'city, state' around '0:00 am' on 'date/day' , and heading interstate south and meeting others at this town around 0:00am and heading interstate west to muncie..... plan on arriving around 0:00 pm... ... ... ... ... .....

... ... ... ... . P. S. ( please state if you drive speed limit/or over limit a little or a lot) so if someone is not comfortable with the faster travel doesn't have to feel as though they are slowing others down, and not feeling uncomfortable themselves by driving faster than they feel necessary also.

This is to give an idea at what I am looking for, to help someone find a fellow diesel owner to travell with to muncie. Would make the trip a lot more fun than going by yourself.

My plans aren't to definate yet. I plan on leaving early friday morning heading I80 west from clarion, pa, then I think it turns into I76 in Ohio somewhere. I think it will take around at least 7-8 hours.

Anyone else going through western pa on I80 Friday morning?

Thanks

I'll be headed east on the morning of the 29th. Not sure of my route but it should be a nice long drive to an awesome event. I guess that doesn't help you much does it.

Thursday between 7 am and 7 pm, lol.

I-80west,to 76 W, to 71S, to 30Wto 75 S to 29 to 67 etc and someother short cuts... . Not sure of the numbers, but I know how to get there!

Wolf, from 79/80 interchange- 5. 5 to 6 hours, driving 5 MPH over the speed limit.

SledPuller-You'd save some time by taking 224 instead of 30. I go that way a lot, My home town is Springport, just south of Muncie. :)

convoy

leaving friday morning at 8:30 from the loves truckstop in ohio 160 exit. Meeting a group of people there then we will be heading 70 west to us 35 north to muncie. Think it will be around 3. 5 hours to get there. :D

Well, we are leaving Thursday morning, early, heading west, and should be there late morning. West bound and down...

Sleddy, the last time I went to Indy, only took a little under 6 hours, from my house. You drivin slow or using a Fo#d for a tow vehicle? :-laf

How's this route for a long distance award? Leaving Vegas Thursday the 27th around 7 PM pacific, arriving in Oklahoma City the following afternoon, headed to Lawton Okla. that night. Leaving Lawton Sunday in the AM arriving in East /Central Mississippi Sunday evening. Leaving Miss. Wednesday around noonish or so with a certain other members truck in tow and arriving in Muncie Thursday afternoon!! :--) Then pretty much the same time frames and schedule in reverse!! So if you see a big silver 3rd gen 4 WD dually , do one of THREE things: 1- LEAD , 2- FOLLOW, or 3 GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY :p TDR grill badge and sticker on back window C y'all there!!!!! :D

My cousin and I will probably be leaving Mid-TN (near Nash. ) mid-late Friday (4th) evening, and driving most of the way to Muncie then getting a room somewhere (I know nowhere NEAR TiM). Unless plans change again. Originally supposed to haul buddies truck over on DTR from OH to TiM, but now he's backing out?

Oh well see everyone there!Oo.

I am gonna leave around 2 am or so Thursday night. Usually takes about 10 hours by the time I stop a few times to get coffee/let coffee out and eat breakfast. Probably cruise thru Chicago about 6 and then on the Muncie about high noon. Oo.

Oh, BTW what time is CJ's opening?#ad

Is it time to go yet?

I went to the Madison Brat Fest for lunch... so I've got the sunny weather, festival, party mood going full swing. The eye candy at that event was out of control.

5 bucks for 5 brats and a liter of Pepsi = happiness and high cholesterol.

http://www.bratfest.com - the 'live' counter for consumed brats is a little off. They started @ 10AM and they're already up to 25,000+ brats...

Any idea what the weather is supposed to act like yet, I KNOW it's early but it can't be much worse than it has been around here the last few weeks.
