To sum it all up;

T- Rex Engineering is a great company. They put a product out that makes a 7500 lb turd into a rough terrain eating machine. I took this truck out after filling up with nitrogen and abused it. The system is flawless. I mean I went 30 miles of pure desert trails. Not even a road, just wash and open desert. The temps up here are in the 110* range today and I never had any fade. The truck just goes and goes and goes. At first I would slow down for a set of bumps but after a few minutes I found out that I could just hammer it as hard as I wanted and it was rad! I even got some pretty good air a time or two and it landed like a 8000 lb Caddy. I was lucky enough to be at T-Rex on a day when Kent was cleaning out the warehouse. I scored a set of Goodyear M/TR's for a steal. 37" off road monsters that are not intended for the faint of heart. I can't believe I ran BFG's for so many years. BFG's SUCK compaired to the GY's. That was the best working tire I have ever ran in the dirt. Believe me, I have ran BFG's for almost 20 years on all sorts of vehicles. It was the only off road tire I would ever buy. The goodyears are e rated, heavy duty tires with super agressive tread. I would highly recommend the suspension and tire package to everyone. I couldn't be happier with how the install went and how well my truck works now. It's like driving a rallye car now. On the street it is better too. No body roll, just carves through the corners like a cat.

If you are sitting on the fence, jump off head first and go buy a T-Rex suspension system. It gives you the same feel as a $100,000 off road truck in the rough stuff and carves corners like a BMW sedan on the HWY. You are getting your money's worth here. I don't back anything that I don't like. If this system didn't work you would hear me screaming about it. I am singing as I mosh through the whoops at 80 now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drive on... :D

Those are the tires I was hoping to run with this kit if/when I buy. So you don't have any rubbing front or rear with just new shock mounts / coils up front and the the mini-pack in the rear?

If yes, can you get some good side profile pics showing the tires and clearance up close?

The only tire rub I have with the goodyear 37's is on full turn to the left or right. The tires are huge and run really smooth on the HWY. I just got back from a 350 mile round trip and my truck is much better on the hwy. No more Death Wobble either. I cant wait to drive in the desert again tomorrow. This system is amazing. I called Kent last night and all I could say was "you da man". amazing.

Greg,

Did you have to use a spring compressor to get the new springs in (or the old ones out)? You make the install sound like just unbolting old parts and bolting in new ones... is it really that simple?

Thats all there is to it. Nothing changes in the setup (geometry) but the springs and shocks (and 'beefier' mounts)

Ryan,

It was just that easy. Too easy. Don't get me wrong, it did take a while to do all of it. It was my first install and I wanted to make sure I had everything perfect. I have never pulled apart a front end of a truck and replaced everything before either. I just did what was written on the install instructions and that was it. Super easy.

P. S.

Man does it work well!!!!!!!!!!

Hey BoardMannnnnnnnnnn,

Glad to hear you're finally ready to race... wrong tires though... BFG has captured the last 18 Baja 1000 Championships and continue to dominate over all other tire manufacturers in off-road desert racing. Goodyear and Toyo aren't even close. I know, I know... I can hear you screaming right now... f***in' Desertbull giving me a hard ass time... HHaaahhhhh, only cuz you deserve the attention!!!!

With that said, I'm very happy you're hauling ass in the dez... TRex Suspensions are incredibly engineered for true performance off-road as well as on the highways of North America and beyond.

Heading south in 3 weeks for a 2000-mile Baja off-road trip from the border south to Cabo and back all off-road with my BFG's... Oo.

Throttle down!!!!!!! :D

Well Mr Bull,

I am so proud you have taken notice of me. Now how about dropping off 5 projects up here where we can use them on a daily basis... . ! Not much street driving up here now. I have even cut a road to Yucca Valley through the des just for fun. It only takes me 6-10 minutes longer than going 75 on the HWY... Be safe on your long trip. Hopefully one day I can tag along on a good adventure.

Mr BoardMannnnnnnnnnnn!
