HI all I have some bilstein's on order however now that I have checked into the t rex ,I want some of those they sound great. Do you guys love them and which one's did you get?:)

I am extremely happy with my T Rex system, mine has King racing shocks but I'm sure Kent will set you up with the best shock for your application if you give an accurate description of the intended use your truck. I would also definitely recommend the rear mini leaf pack, I bought mine without and added it about four months later and it made a huge difference. You said on another thread you had watched some off road racing near Vegas, if you live near Vegas I'm only an hour south, I can give you a ride sometime :) Also Kent is planning on having the T Rex R&D truck in Las Vegas for May madness so you should be able to get a demo ride there also:)

I would like to try a King shock on the OEM suspension.

I have a feeling you'd better be sitting down when if we saw the price for each shock.

T Rex's system is basically new front springs and modified King or Fox shocks and the parts necessary to mount the shocks. The King shocks need a different front upper mount but nothing else in the suspension is changed. I think someone said the King shocks themselves were in the $500. 00 each range and T Rex modifies the shocks, supplies the adapter bushings for the heims, the CNC machined front upper shock towers and mounting hardware and valves them for your specific needs. The shocks themselves need to be properly valved for these heavy trucks and high spring rates and this is where the substantial amount of R&D T Rex has put into fine tuning this product really makes a difference. When I first got my system I didn't have time for the full install so I ran for about a week with just the rears. The rear shocks are a direct bolt on with Kent's heim adapters and make a significant improvement all by themselves.

Aren't they around $3k for the set?

If you guys have ever experienced a ride in an off road truck I would say the T-Rex system (not lift) is about the same. A good friend of mine is building a truck for the desert and he has $5large on each corner. That is 20 grand for just setting it up to roost. I would say this kit in a one off type of deal would cost you $12 to $15 K easy. $3000 is an easy amount of money to spend for what you get. Remeber though, It is not for the faint of heart. This is a hard core off road suspension system. It is made to be used in a speed range of 30 to 90 mph in rough terrain. Heck, I even took the duals off my truck and made it a SRW because I saw what this kit is... . Now I just need some $ and I be set... . Greg

I have the T-REX system with King Shocks all the way around. New coils up front, and the mini leaf pack installed in the rear. The ride is great both on and off road. Mine is set up more for an off road application, but you can talk to Kent and have him set yours up specific to the type of driving you do. In my humble opinion, it is the best investment for this truck because regardless of which modifications you choose to do, you still have to drive the truck to enjoy it and we all know that the ride of the stock suspension of the CTD leaves something to be desired.
