Off Roading T-Rex suspension

Anyone running the T-rex components?



Kind of $$ but sound like they are worth it.

They will gaurentee their coils won't sag with the CTD and heavy front bumper, where others I talked to wouldn't.

I've been running the T-REX set up with King Shocks for almost a year now. It was more expensive than other products, but it outperforms everything else hands down. You can't go wrong with it.

There are a couple older threads about the T-Rex setup. Grab a cold one and start searchin'. I've got the Fox shocks installed and the rear leaf pack ordered.

By far the best money I've spent. For me, slightly firmer on the road, but unequalled off road. Translation: you'll feel a speed bump more than stock at 5mph, but almost not at all at 40 mph.



I'm heading to Baja again in November for a couple weeks, and that's where it pays off. . .

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has the highway (billstein) system, paticularly how it handles the freeway expasion joints.

I've got the bilsteins in my truck. Handles the expansion joints alot better than stock. I'm running 200psi nitrogen in the shocks. Makes life on the 99 alot easier.

I just installed the T. Rex Fox system on my truck on Tuesday. I have to say that Tony is right. It is the best money I have ever spent on the truck. Amazing handling on the street. Can carve corners faster now. You will definatly have to drive your truck now but it is worth it. The payoff is how well it goes off-road. This thing rips. I used to be able to drive at 20 max in some of the spots I now go 80 with total control. This system is so sick I cant even explain it. I came up HWY 10 through Banning/Beaumont last night and it sucked up the bump-ity-bump from the fwy. Now more teeth chattering and such. Expansion joints are now a thing of the past. I can corner faster over them than ever expected. The rear of my truck used to jump sideways and now it just corners like it is on rails.

I just returned from a 11,500 mile, 2 and a half month trip to Western Canada and Alaska . The T-rex system was absolutely fabulous. It even works well on old corduroy roads. We tried to cover as much of the trip staying off pavement as we could. My Fox shocks take up the washboard on road like the Nabesna and the road to Kinnicott without fade or pain. The rig was much more stable on the brocken sections of the Cassier hwy than any stock system. Even on freeways it reduced the line bounce and cuts driver fatigue, my wife loves to drive this rig, even though it had a heavy expedition type camper on it. Kent it works in the north as well as it does in Baja.
