It's tabbed!
Well, I got it done! Took longer than I hoped for, but less than I anticipated. Some things that I wish I knew/thought of first:
-The wiper fluid bottle has TWO bumps that have to be held out of holes.
-The fan nut is 36mm, or one big vise grip

.
-You should know where the tab that you ordered three months ago is BEFORE you take everything apart.
-You can make your own tab out of stray pieces of metal.
-Kill the tab BEFORE you lift the truck, even two inches. It's hard enough to lean over without additional height.
-The big bolt that is left goes to the holder for the oil filler, not somewhere inside.
-Locktite 277 is the same as Permatex Red (I hope!)
-If you're going to be leaning over the front of the truck for an extended period of time, take the hood latch off. Helps prevent bruising to the sternum.
All in all, an educational afternoon. I had a seeping gasket anyway, so checking the KDP was icing. It was out about 3/32" and I couldn't get it back in, so I tabbed it there. Everything else looked good. Turns out one of the bolts holding the cover on was very loose, maybe that's where it was leaking. Tomorrow... Kodiak steps!
