Tach Wire

I'm installing a remote starter on my Gen 3. Does anyone know the correct wire to use for getting a good tach feed?

The MOPAR remote start unit installed on my truck used the DkBlue/Gray wire on pin #24 in the 60 pin connector at the ECM on the side of the engine. That pin is the CMP signal.

Remote Start Tach Wire

I belive that the tach wire is by the A/C Box at the PCM and is a white with Black stripe. My Tech tip says that " Diesel tach wire use gray/black in the black plug at the PCM".

Hmmmmm. So if you cut that tach wire and run the ends into the cab and hook it to a toggle switch so you can cut the signal at will……. . would that give you a free home-made BD Race Anti-Defueler? That is all it does basically is cut the tach signal, right?
