For Pete's sake - who thought 125 RPM increments was a good idea? It would more closely match the speedo if it were marked at 100 RPM increments. I'd like to get my hands on that designer! No engineer in his right mind would make it that way by choice! Thanks for letting me rant. I hope they got it right in '03.
Funny there hasn't been a thread on this yet (to my knowledge) in the 2nd gen forum. I'm a little embarassed to admit I didn't notice it right away when I bought my truck, it took awhile for me to notice that 1800 was actually 1750.
There was a thread some time back, but it petered out quickly. It's the most frustrating thing on the truck, having to 'calculate' the RPM. It should be intuitive, as it would be with 100RPM increments. Yeah, it's probably the bright idea of some junior dashboard designer... . and he and his bosses should be smacked upside the head for screwing it up!
Funny that this never bothers me. Guess when glancing at the RPM's I get the general idea. You could be an 89 to 93 and have no tach whatsoever. (from the factory)
