Tacky tack welds

I just got the Dodge fever (have a cummins MH for a while) and took delivery on the new truck 1/19/01 and love it! The only thing that bugs me is the little flange thats exposed where the fenders are tack welded. Its even more visible on 4X4s. Has anyone else been bothered and what have you done?

I put Warn fender flairs on mine,not to cover the welds but to keep rocks and mud off the body. Side benefit was covering the welds,looks good too.

illflem, thanks for the reply... my post wasnt too clear. I'm talking about the flange behind the rear wheel (? rear quarter panel) that sort of hangs down in space. A similar flange is below the cab and runs from wheel well to wheel well but I think is hidden well by the step rails. I was tinking that something like door edge protectors might work if they were wide enough. I am thinking about the fender flares too to keep from slinging mud and rocks... THANKS

Get some flat black paint and paint that flange and it almost disappears

jdedonis, the area you mentioned is referred to as the pinch weld.
