Dallas/Ft Worth Dyno Day

Things I "NEED" before "Thunder in Muncie"

I have a buddy here at work that wants to come and run his Ford. You guys are not gonna pick on him too bad are ya?

Its stock. He wants a base line before starting the BOMBing process. He is leary about coming cuz he thinks us dodge boys are gonna pick on him. Of course I lied my a$$ off and told him what nice guys we are. ;)

You can tell him that I am bringing my Ford also.

You can tell him that i am pretty politically correct but i will definately come to his aid and help him out the best i can against you Dodge boys. I know how sensitive you Dodge guys are so i will try and not offend you guys in the process.

Do we have enough?

I am numerically challenged... . It doesn't seem like we have quite enough. That would definitely be a shame!:(

Just getting into this and looking for local folks to help me get my truck in shape. I would like to just stop by to say hi and get to meet the local folks. Being that my truck is still totally stock, I am thinking I'll almost feel like one of the phord guys! Well, maybe not that bad:D Hope to see you all there!

Here's the directions again!

For those that didn't have the forsight to print the directions I posted in the last thread. Here's a copy and paste... .

To get there from I-5: take S. 56th st exit and head west on S. 56th for about 1. 5 miles. You'll come up on some railroad tracks and the next street is goint to be Adams, turn left onto Adams and head south for about 1/2 mile. Turbo Technology will be on your left on the hill side.

Cliff I don't know what variation it is. Besides, doing it in O/D is cheating! Also at the rpm and speed that the dyno starts, direct gear is very low as it is (low enough to be hard on an input shaft).

Lets hope they can get torque numbers

last time we dyoned here they could not get the strobe to work so no torque figures were provided :(

Cheating? why is that, if the power is not there, how can you be cheating? all O/D will do is load the engine more and spool up the turbo faster.

Mike, the test window can be made as wide or as narrow as you want it. 60 to 100 mph would be perfect for my truck in 6th. This is 1500 to 2500 RPM (peak HP with the Puck is at 2440 rpm). That is why Mustang Dyno's are so nice... . you can dial in a specific MPH or RPM window and test the engine.

If I dyno in direct my window is 43 mph to 86 mph (1500 to 3000rpm). at those speeds on an inertia dyno unless the weights are extremely heavy it will be hard for even a stock engine to produce full boost. I think I will dyno in 6th... it is not cheating. If time allows I would like to make a run in 5th and one in 6th.

If so prove it! Better brush up on your Physics!:p
