I've had my truck for over a little over 12 months now. Been a great truck.

Earlier this year I installed the "Cool Red Hose" and an amsoil drop in nanofiber filter. Good improvements in EGT reduction (mild reductions) at least in comparison to a friends similar truck without those changes.

I've been contemplating a TAG III and the CFM+ air intake horn.

The CFM+ has been recommended by a fellow TDR member.

Just wondering if the TAG III will complement the CFM+ air intake horn.

I just got a report back from a very happy customer after his first drive with the new AFE intake manifold. 03 ,Smarty, AFE stg2 air kit and full magnaflow exhaust. Adding the manifold he felt an impressive seat of the pants improvement and uses less go peddle at freeway speeds. I can't comment too much on the TAG except the 2 trucks we dynoed it on both lost power at the top.

Bob4x4,

Thanks for the report. Maybe I'll try the intake air horn first.

My truck is mostly used as a daily driver and a few times a year towing my Jeep.

The exhaust will be my next "improvement", however, it might just be muffler.

Lots of choices out there. :)

I know everyone has an opinion, but I went with an aftermarket air horn from Hellmann Performance for my 06. I test fit it on the truck before I sent it to be powdercoated the same color as my twins piping. I also like the price. I think it's around $225.
