No difference with the TAG!

There seems to be a lot of interest in the TAG... as several threads are going on about. I've posted this same report in a few places.

Not much to say..... didn't really feel much after putting the TAG in. I couldn't hear anything different when first starting the truck and couldn't feel the difference going down the road. I wanted to... believe me... . but it just wasn't there. It might show up in the mileage when towing so I'm going to wait until I get the TT hooked up and out on the road.

With one very short test run though... no news. Have to wait and see. I'll let you know.

Just a quick chime in. I installed the TAG back in Sep, dyno'd 4 times (two times with, two times without), gave results to Dave, and wrote an article on it which should show up in the next mag including dyno sheet data.

Reader's Digest version- It's good overall. Gain in HP/Torque noted (very small, but there nonetheless) and increased throttle response throughout band. Only bad noted-Emissions up.

Mhenon, just a thought here. Not to be a smart A** but I think the problem is that your truck isn't loud enough yet. I have the Scotty II and the TAG made a very big differnce in sound. A lot quieter with the TAG.

maybe the housing needs to be machined too? I 've seen no benefit

my TAG fits into the inlet hose and rests close or onto the inlet of the turbo, not inset at all beacause the TAG is lager than the turbo inlet.
Yes, you probably do need to have the housing machined for the TAG to do much good. Spacing from the compressor wheel makes a lot of difference the effect the TAG has on turbo performance.

I've since switched compressor housings on the dodgezilla so the whistle is not really an issue any longer.

I sold my tag to a friend.
