Tail light circuit board toast!

Well I had my first official problem with my truck(48,000 miles). My left rear stop lamp quit working so I thought it was the bulb, upon further inspection the bulb was fine so I removed the right side tail lamp and plugged it into the left side and all was fine. Long story short it cost me $30. 00 to replace. Even though I have the extended warranty ($100. 00 Deductible). So I just went ahead and did it on my own so as not to have the truck down for a day for a very easy fix. Has anybody else had this problem?

Was this with OEM bulbs? I had a buddy who installed LED's on his 04. 5 and he burned up some wiring of sorts (he wasn't quite sure himself :-laf), but the dealership fixed it for him under warrenty. (well known family in this town )

Around here in all of our stop and go traffic we see quite a bit of it on the stop light socket with the stock bulbs

Put some dielectric grease on the socket this worked for me.

I've been having a "Chime" come on, quite a bit lately, along with an occasional "Lamp-Out" signal light on the dash.



All the lamps seem to be working.



I tried out the di-electric grease on all the tail lamp bulbs, which seemed to help, for awhile.



Last Saturday, the left-turn signal lamp started working twice as fast as normal along with the chime & lamp-out bulb. This happened a few times, then quit.



Does anyone know what the "FIX" is for these problems? Do I need more di-electric grease? I used a very light coating, the first time.
