Only my headlights work now. All the other lights; tail, marker, clearance, are out.

Also the dash lights are out except for the radio lights which are bright.

This has been coming for several months but I could "wiggle" the switch in/out and rotate it and all would be on. Not anymore.

This looks like a switch replacement job to me, any comments. ??

Also is it easy to get the dash apart to replace the switch and how do you do it???

Any help would be appreciated... thanks

When I had a problem with dash, parking, and running lights going out, it was a fuse under the hood (#19 I think, but it has been a while). I doubt that is your problem if wiggling the switch helps, but just trying to throw out suggestions.

The switch is fairly easy to replace. The dash face is help on with spring clips and can be pulled off with consistent pressure. I believe the switch assy is held in place with 3 screws with 7 or 8 mm heads.

Yep, i had mine out when i tapped in for my gauge lighting. you could have the dash cover off and the switch out in 5 minutes if you have the nut drivers ready.

the steering wheel column covers are torx type screws

Jack while there also check out the wire loom going into the wheel & column some have reported a shorting at the wheel break over point for the tilt wheels

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I am 200 miles from parts and a dealer but will be there Mon. AM.

I am going to let them sort it out. My son, JR2, wants to do it but he is getting married soon and has other things to worry about other than his old man's truck.
