I don't know if this product has been reviewed here before or not EZDOWN but I rate it as one of the top 5 practical mods I've ever done.

Just installed and it works great.

This looks like it would work even with a rolltop cover on the truck.

From the looks of the pics of the one Geno carries, I dont think it would work with a roll top.

I have one of the Geno's Garage units and find it works fine with my short box with a cap installed. I would think it should work just find with a rolltop. The BIG advantage of the Geno's unit is that it not only dampens the opening of the tail gate, but also makes closing the tail gate a two finger job. Their unit uses a spring system to counter balance the weight of the tailgate. I find that I can left the tail gate half way and if I let go the gate just sits there. This a must have for anyone with a shoulder or arm problem.
