Just checked my mail. Still no decal. Boy, talk about snail mail out in the tules of the Pacific Northwest... . :(

Anybody Install this on the Back Window?

I don't have a tailgate with my utility bed, so the back window is the only option. Anybody installed there? If so, do you have a picture you could post?

Iceman,

I don't see the 24V HO stickers as part of the current options, were you the one that did those too? Those look good in place of the standard door badging too.

Hey Iceman,

It finally arrived. Boy, how cool is that!!! I am one happy woman. Wait til the guys at work get a look at this... the better become TDR members!!

Thanks again.

Alternate mounting location

Does anyone have any opinions/experience with putting this graphic on the front door areas where the existing "Ram 2500 CTD" nameplate thing is, i. e. yard off the nameplate and put the sticker in its place?? On both sides of course ;)

Just curious ...

Rock, that is the same place I plan to put my decal, and I also got one for each side. I just hope I can figure a way to put it on straight, if it is crooked it will probably look real stupid. I started to pull on the '2500' yesterday and it seemed to want to peel off with some force (just testing). I'll try again after work today. Maybe the stickie will come off with the '2500' label, I hope so.

Rock, I took my '2500' Labels off last night and the rubber backing came off in pieces. I rubbed what was left of them off with my thumb (kind of rolled it off) and the stickie had to be removed with WD40, Goo-Gone, and alcohol. The temperture was about 95. If it had been cooler they might have come off easier. I'll let you know how the install goes.

Ron

Rono, thanks for the update. Did you order the full size sticker from ICEMAN or a slightly smaller version, just curious. I'm anxious to see how it looks so I can make a final decision. I've already got the "Dodge makes it Cummins shakes it" sticker on the back window - way cool :D

I'm off to "harvest" Red Salmon up here in AK - it's a tough job, but somebody's got to live here

Rock, good luck on the salmon, wish I had some, as well as some Halibut. Anyway, I ordered the full size. I hope they aren't to big for the doors. I guess it will just scream CUMMINS. I don't have a digital camera so I can post pictures, maybe I can barrow one. I'll let you know how it comes out.

Rock, I put the graphics on my doors Sunday. They look GREAT!!!, and from the looks I've gotten so far, they were well worth the investment. I put them 2" from the door edge and put the top of 'CUMMINS' 6 3/8" up from the top of the black rubber door guard. I followed the instruction on the first one as far as taping the ends to position the decal and putting a long piece of masking tape down the middle to act as a hinge. I found that you must be very careful when seperating the backing from decal because on mine, some of the lettering tried to stick to the backing and I had to use a knive to very carefully loosen the letters and make them stay on the front covering. I found that using a squeege caused to many bubbles, so I just used my finger to rub the decal down while holding the decal up and slowly rubbing it down about 1/4" at a time. I got no bubbles that way. Then rubbing the decal down very firmly with my finger before removing the face covering. I removed the facing very slowly and they really look good. I put one on each door.

Later,

Ron

I did mine saturday. Removed the DODGE from the tailgate and replaced with my new CUMMINS version. Went very nice. Removing the dodge was easy. Removing the glue used to stick those things on here took about 1. 5 hours and a bottle of gu-gone and everything else I could find. Now I have a

Cummins 12v Turbo Diesel 4X4

**ICEMAN** can we get these in a 1/2 size. They would look cool on the doors too.

Well I just blew it. :( I was peeling it back and it stuck to the paper and I didnt notice it and I tore my "turbo diesel" part. I tried to fix it but it was very noticeable. So anyway it looked good for about five min. Then I peeled it off. No ones fault but my own I was pulling the paper off to fast or at the wrong angle. If you havent installed it yet be very carefull!

slybones,,yep, i just asked today and was told we could go dowm to 1/2 the size or anywhere in between. they will still be priced the same due to the time they have involved in them.

sky,,sorry to here about the loss,,i messed my first one up also. a few other members have done the same and ordered another. very very very slow is the key. i also just tape accross the top edge and then flip it up and peel the back. i rub the top layer while it's on the bench with my finger to help it stick to the top sheet.

I just orderd my second one. I screwed up the first attempt  I hope I can manage to do this one ok. I have wrinkles and tears etc... ... ... ... Any tips on the install?

Do it SLOW Sky. And watch to make sure that everything lifts off evenly from the paper. Squeegy it with a straight edge as you go, to avoid the bubbles and wrinkles. You'll get it.

Sky, I use to work for a lettering shop and we use to apply a VERY light mist of water to the area prior to laying down the vynle then squeegee it down. No only helps with the bubbles but also allows you to "lift" the graphics up should you align it wrong.
