Tailgate lights

Is my truck the only one where the cable for the tailgate lights hangs across the license plate? There does not seem to be anything to clip the cable on. I tried shoving it into the tailgate but it just keeps falling out. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a lot of slack wire.

You could try:

Small diameter split convoluted tube on the wires - push it into the bottom of the gate and through the hole in the sheet metal under the gate.

A grommet in the hole under the gate.

Wire ties under the bed to control excess wire.


I've done all three to mine
