tailgate remove

The tailgate on my new 2012 35oo dosen't seem to want to come off the post on the drivers side. Any ideas?

Carl, had similiar problem with our 2011. We had to keep lowering or raising tailgate to find the correct position to slide it off. The owners manual says to raise tailgate to 45 degree angle. This did not work for me. I cannot remember what angle I ended with to get tailgate off but it wasn't close to 45 degrees, Hope this helps.

I found on my 2011 that it has to be almost shut to release the tension on the torson bar. Open the tailgate and get the right side off then rasie it up as far as possible then it should slide to the right.
