Chrome Take offs

muddymess,

I would like to get a set of 4 Chrome rims as well for my 04 3500 SRW yet to be delivered. I ordered with Aluminum and now am looking to chrome out the truck as it is an Laramie. Just noticed how much better the chrome cladding looks over the painted look of the Aluminum.

Let me know when you have an extra set available, and the price for shipping to Michigan, 49316.

How are you getting these? And, What is the weight difference between the two?

Don

don,

i will be able to get ya a set in a couple weeks or so. ill get ya the shipping to 49316 ltr today.

the chrome wheels are approx 17 lbs heavier so shipping will be more.

i know a guy who deals with a major dlr in the area which outfits many rigs w/ aftrmarket wheels/tires so he had arranged to purchase the takeoffs. i can get em for 50 bucks each for chrome. 70 for alum.

ya know,,,,,,,,,ive spoke w/ tdr members in the east who have chrome and want to go w/ alum. so,,,,,, beins the shipping will be higher on the chrome cuz of the weight,,,,,,,,,,,, it may be worth it to post a new thread sayin ya got alum and wish to trade w/ someone in the east. im sure someone close would jump at the oportunity.

ill get back at ya w/ shipping charge

Thanks, I got your message. To get a little more detail. How much does each rim weight? I am trying to figure out if the 17 lbs is the difference for all four (I hope) or is there that much difference per wheel.

Do you also have the OEM tires, or only dealing with the wheels?

Don

17 lb diff per whel aprox. shipping price i told u was per wheel

approx 41 to 42 lbs per steel whl. [add some for shipping box]

23 to 24 for alum approx

a good weight savings for the alum.

as to the tires,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, there is 1 virgin tire available now if someone needs a xtra spare. if ya want a whole set it will be a few weeks as ya got 3 people on the list ahead of ya for new tires. the 1virgin is a michelin. the tires that the guy will get in will be either mich or bfg. they will have les than 20 miles. 75 bucks per tire for mich and 90 for bfg. / all 10 ply 3g takeoffs.

alum wheels are available now but it be a week or 2 b4 i can get chrome

if ya want em,lemme know so i can get u name on list

weight of tire aprox 56 lbs. [all weights were taken by my kids on a cheapo bthroom scale]

il put u name on list for some michs. got a few guys ahead of ya. they be a little harder to come by now than a few months ago. seems as if ford has the 235/80 17 size on the new f150 and it is a cheap 6 ply with paper thin sidewalls which slice when u run over a blade of grass. therefore the demand is high on the 10 ply takeoffs, folks replacin the 6 ply tires right off w/ the 10 ply from the dodges

there will be some come through eventually tho

ill get ya a shipping cost for em shortly pb
