taking cat off 05

has any one taken off the cat on an 05 if so how loud is it . i have bully dog 5inch exhaust on ti now with cat sounds good but not as lous as my 03

took the cat of my truck friday night and put it back on sat morning. was way too loud with the 5in my 03 did not have cat and 4in bully dog and sounded great maby it is the 5in bully dog exhaust,still sounds great just pretty quiet

We sell tons of our aluminized and SS off road cat test pipes. Too loud is a relative term, what you think is loud the next guy thinks is just right! The 5 inch is making it worse than a 4 inch will, but it also depends on the muffler a lot of the 5 inch mufflers are totally hollow and set up a real loud booming sound, check yours to see what it has or not, that might be all you need is a real packed muffler and a test pipe. How much does a 4" test pipe for a 2004. 5 2500 cost??

Back when I bought my truck, I was quoted by someone here $65 or so. With that in mind, I passed as I rarely keep a truck longer than a year. actually, Im about ready to sell. . Anyone interested?
