I'll have to start by saying that I must have the best factory clutch that was ever built. I've got a 2001 with a 5 speed that has 103,300 miles on it and I pulled once last year with no problems. This year I knew I'd need to do something different, so it was going to be 3rd low, I've tested this on a back road and could go 25 mph. well going down the track it was only 10-15 mph and the engine was at redline (badly slipping clutch). The track was a clay track and it was hooking good, I ended up 5th out of 12 trucks and there was only 15 feet or so between me and the second place guy. First place was out there at 275 feet I was at 237 feet. The winner had a F550 with all of the bullydog gadgets including propane and weighing in at 10,200 lbs. The class was 10,000 dually and I was only 8950 lbs with a yard of top soil in the back. So I got done and all I could smell was clutch, I kinda figured it would happen, out on the road though she seems to be gripping tight. Now I guess I'm taking donations for a clutch... . anyone?????
