 Just bought 2001 2500 QC 4x4 SB Automatic 2 weeks ago. Already had my low pressure return fuel line break at the plastic quick connect. Now, when I take off from a stop, feels like I'm taking off in second gear. Soft on the throttle and it's like I'm in granny gear, start rolling and shifts back down, better acceleration. After that it shifts fine, between 50 and 60, it takes a while to shift into overdrive and sometimes shifts hard. When I come to a stop, bumps forward right as i come to a stop. Then while sitting with my foot on the brake, it sometimes bumps again. Anyone that has maybe had this problem would be helpful. Thanks.

Sounds like the "governor and solenoid" problem. . I have the same issues, bought the parts (~$200) but have yet to install. . Try yanking it into 1st gear when it does this next time - if it "corrects", you'll probably need to install the new parts. .

129,793, just looked, I've asked mechanic and he said the same thing, governor and solenoid, i'll go get those and replace them. I'm not sure if the transmission fluid has been changed before. I got a carfax report and it shows a major service at a dealership at 83K, but it didn't specify what was done. I want to ask a dealership if they can look up my vin and see what exactly was done. Am worried about changing the fluid, and something going wrong. Thanks for ya'lls replies. I appreciate it. Is it bad to keep driving it like that for a while?
