I think I would like a taller tire aroud 34" to 35" but about as wide as the stock 265/70/17.

Anything available? something like a 285/80/17 or 295/80/17? Thanks for your help.

Short answer, no, not in 17". 265/70/19. 5 would be the same width at about 34. 5" tall but you're looking at new wheels that make up a very heavy and expensive setup.

There are tires made in both 285/70/17 and 297/70/17. They are taller and only a little wider.

FYI -- The 70# is actually the height, it is the percentage of the width in mm (just in case you didn't know) .

Can you tell us who makes them and where to find them? I am having trouble finding anything in the E load range.

Thanks

They're load range D but carry as much weight because they're larger. The 285 is BFG All Terrain TA KO and Nitto makes the 295.

I also would like to keep the 265 width with a taller tire. More tires are becoming available in 17" so by the time mine wear out, I'm hoping for a better selection.

I didn't take the original post to be E load specific.

True, you will have trouble finding them in an E-load -- like has already been said, the BF Gs and Nittos are a D Load.
