I think a 255/85 will fit in the vertical space but someone with a dually will have to add about the width. It may require spaders in the rear.

Anything POST 2001 can fit 255/85's WITHOUT a spacer.

However I remember something about you being able to put OLDER rims on a NEWER truck but not visaversa ? I don't see why.

It kinda has the easy rule of thumb.

If It came FACTORY with 215's , 235's will fit

If it came FACTORY with 235's , 255's will fit

There are a ton of spacer companies out there

Cop,

I run 255-85-16's on my 3500 and I use a 1-1/4" spacer. I got my set thru Performance Wheel, they make their own spacers and many others that re-sale them. Their quality is very good, 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum. I have had them for 3-4 years now, and not a problem one. The 255 are just to large with out the spacer, when they were first installed there was about a 1/4" gap, but that only lasted till the truck sat over night. The 255 are about 10% larger, so your speedo will be off, 60 now means 66. I also have a 4:10 R&P, so the oversize doesn't hurt that much. If you have a 3:73 and tow heavy, you will fell the difference. I run the BFG MT's and the Trxus M/T's , both are great tires but the Trxus are the smoothest and provide the best ride. They will wear faster with the softer rubber, but the ride difference is worth it to me. Good luck with the tire purchase.

I had 235-85's on mine and I had to run 80psi in the rear to keep them from rubbing on the bumps on the rough roads around here. Too rough, I went back to the 215's. The spacers y-knot described would take care of that.

Nice looking wheels/tires y-knot! About how much are the spacers?
