Tampa Area Campgrounds?

Looking for some suggestions on nice campgrounds around the Tampa area. We are taking the kids to Busch Gardens during their Spring break. I'm guessing something within a 25 mile/30 minute radius, family oriented, etc. Don't want to get caught up (yet) in a "Girls Gone Wild" video

Have looked on line and found a bunch, just looking for first hand experience. Thanks in advance.

we just stayed at fort desoto state park. beautiful. you can bike to the golf or just sit in your camper and watch the boats cruise by... . nice quiet and clean with lots of bike trials.

MacDill AFB W/S/E/CTV boat rentals etc 15 per night!!!!!

Just checked out MacDill AFB... gonna be tough to beat. I'll call them this weekend to see if they have a site for us that week. I'll keep De Soto in mind just in case. Thanks for the help..... stay tuned

I go to MacDill and it could be tough to get in before march. You might get lucky though. Good FamCamp. RIGHT AT THE BEACH. Good fishing at the little inlet to the St. Pete side of the beach, go around the little point. Take live shrimp. Tide rises about 12" or so.
